PS3 how to get the best sound possible ?

sistem .....samsung LE32R73BD 1 hdmi input ,samsung AV-R610 no hdmi in or out , sony PS3 1 hdmi out and jamo 5.1 speakers .currently using optical output for sound to the av receiver and hdmi to the lcd can i do better ?

Then yes, were you to buy the likes of the Onkyo TX-SR605 or Sony STR-DG910 you would get a better sound.
