Projector Help

I need some advice please, I hope to buy a projector for a home cinema room which I am constructing. The room size is approx 4.5m wide by 5.9m long. The projector will be mainly used for Bluray and SkyHD viewing. After reading a lot of the reviews in What Hi Fi Sound and Vision I have found my local dealer can supply me with a Sim2 D80E (£4500). How does this projector fair out with the Best Buy projector in this price range or can I get as good a quality projector at a lesser price.

At that price range I would also consider the JVX-HD750 or the Sony VPL-VW80 ( my choice). Another unit to consider is the Marantz VPL-15 - you should be able to pick one of these up within your bugdet.

There are a lot of things to consider with a projector, are you going to mount the unit on the back wall or on the ceiling? What screen size are you considering? Can you control the light in the room?

The projector will be ceiling mounted in a light controlled room with a screen width of 2440mm.

You will be fine with any of these projectors in that set up. I would suggest trying to get a demonstration of several models to make sure you get one that is right for you.
