projector a good deal or not???????/

i was out at the weekend and came across a optoma hd70 projector for £399 which i didn't think was bad. but i've only got a 12' living room, i realise this is a little on the small side but i'm a sucker for a good deal, the only thing is what sort of costs am i looking at for the rest of the kit, ie screen etc, also how do u connect it? do i have to get hdmi leads 5-7 meters long to conect the dvd player. sorry its a rambling question but i was all set to get a plasma 42-50" but like i say i cant resist a deal ( if it a good deal)

You should also find out what the replacement cost for the lamp is for that projector. It is something you will need to factor in against buying a tv which doesn't need to replace lamps.

I too am thinking of either a projector or large TV. I have found some good advice from http://www.projectorpoint.co.uk

I would like to hear what others think on the pros and cons with both
