Project VC-S Mk2 cleaner

Earlier tonight, I very gently knocked a corner of my black Project VC--S Mk2 record cleaner against the hearth in my living room.

Only a very, very small amount of the protective black coating was removed, plus a minor chip in the wood, exposing a very small amount of the MDF.

Any advice as to how best to fill it, what with and what to paint it with, as if moistire hits it, it may much the panel up? Or am I worrying too much?

Am I best leaving it be, given it is minor.

I do have anxiety.

Maybe a permanent black marker pen to colour it and then possibly a super glue gel might seal it?

I went to my local Brewers decorating shop and have ordered a water resistant wood sealer, black, which can be painted straight onto mdf.
