HDMI is all new to me so i don't really know the conventions and how things work. On the Sony there are 4 rear inputs labelled Sat/BD/xx/xx. Via the on screen GUI menu you can assign different video and audio connections to each of the amp inputs but there don't seem to be any options to assign the HDMI inputs.
I've twice now had to do a hard reset on the amp (hold down a few buttons, power up) and clear all the settings in order to get anything from my Sony BDP-S350 blu ray player. The first time I had just been adjusting settings, the second i'd been trying to get my laptop to display.
Both times i lost any sound or vision via the HDMI input and couldn't work out any way of getting it back. Reset the amp and it 'just works' but I don't know why or why it stopped.
