problem with onkyo or optoma hd?

hi guys i got a onkyo 506 from richersounds a few weeks ago and set it all up with my optoma hd65 projecter,i have ps3,sky hd and xbox 360 all rigged up.the problem im having is when i switch the amp over the projecter looses its hdmi lock.do you think this is a amp problem or projecter?direct connection to the projecter seems fine.if its the amp would i be able to take it back to them?

What/how long is the cable from receiver to projector?

hi i have similar setup but no projecter my amp also loses lock sometimes pressing dvd button on amp always resets it and hd sound comes back on not sure if its applicable with your setup but try it.

all the cables are no more than 1 meter long,its just getting to be a pain in the back side when im wanting to turn over the hdmi connection

problem sorted looks like the projecter dont like the onkyo range or the onkyo dont like the optoma,been back to richersounds told them problem was having when changing.with out any thing else said i could change it to another brand of amp so i got the sony 820,works like a charm.richersounds could not have helped any more them guys are 100% great will be buying all gear from now on from them thank you
