Proactive d18 s and other offset tweeter speakers

Just Reading about the d18s and notice the picture has the tweeters both on the left hand sides. I thought they were normally opposite so that they could be switched round dependng on if the tweeters are at head hight or not.

I'm pretty sure most photos of asymetric speakers are like this though. Is it just so you don't think ones mising a
tweeter or am I being stupid?

Sorry Ed, I didnt see this post before.

The D18's are a symmetrical design, and the HF units should be placed so they're to the inside - many of these designs sound quite wrong when they're placed to the outside. Some manufacturers might use the asymetrical design, but this is more of a cost option. All ProAcs are symmetrical.
