.....ANY EXPERIENCES ? OR VIEWS

I've only heard the D18's. They're very balanced, natural and bass is well controlled. Try not to partner them with aggresive sounding electronics, they get very bright very easily. Very unfatiguing speaker, you can easily listen to them all day 🙂.

Hi, Again only heard D18 with a caspian m2 and they sounded great although I will be getting studio 140mk2 as they were easier to drive at the sound levels I listen to and they have more bass which is my personal preference. The D18 sounded much sweeter, if I could listen to music louder I would go for them but I think they need quite a powerful amp to drive them well. I am sure you will get someone with better knowledge to advise, what amp do you have ? Good luck

It'll mostly depend on the amplifier you're running and your room....

The D140's are definitely easier to drive, but I think what Shanka was hearing was the D18's controlling the bass better than the 140's, hence them sounding 'less accurate'. The D18's will require a better amp than the 140's to sound their best. One thing though, is that the D140's can't compete with the sweetness and detail of the D18's - they'll serve you better in the long term too, allowing greater system upgrdes.
