Hi I am looking for advice to see if the pro-ject carbon esprit, marantz pm6005 amp, and either tannoy v4i or q acoustic 2050i, is a good combination for the price 1000-1.300 euro, my vinyl collection is mostly rock, pop, looking forward to playing my depeche mode collection. Any advice is welcome if some one has a better combo suggestion happy days thanks

The Q's are the better speaker, but despite the reviews, I don't rate the Marantz particularly highly (especially for vinyl). It's not bad just bland and uninvolving. The Rotel RA10 would be better (I'm going by history here - the previous RA04SE was miles better than the 6004) and just to throw another one into the mix...

The Exposure 1010 Amplifier plus a Graham Slee Amp2. Probably would push you a little bit over budget, but it would blow the Rotel out of the water in comparison. Just be prepared for the fact that they've (exposure) spent most of the money on the quality of the internal component quality at the expensive of a luxurous finish (the phrase textured biscuit tin springs to mind).

If you consider £370 odd pounds to be 'a little' over budget you'd be right. The OP appears to be looking at around £300 for the amp, nice though the Exposure reviews might be.

As nice as it would be to push the budget, I cant stretch 1.300 euro is the max. So is the combination worth the 1.300 or is there a different combination better within the price range

thanks
