Great news!! Been waiting for Saving Private Ryan on bluray for some time, any ideas what sound format we should expect on the disc? I've got my fingers crossed for 7.1 DTS HD Master but somehow i doubt that will happen.
War of the Worlds i'm not so fussed about but as a test disc it should be great, just a shame ickle Mr Cruise is in it LOL.

Many thanks for the info! So we get new extras for the bluray release then, thats good news. Should be a corcker of a bluray i just hope no corners are cut and that we get a good quality transfer.
Don't know much about the new Band of Brothers but i'm really looking forward to it as the first series is an essential purchase and an incredible piece of television, americans can be useful sometimes LOL.

Fox is being uncommonly slow with a wide range of releases; Alien on BD has been scheduled/rescheduled several times. Last I heard was 'Spring', along with a range of other titles i'm v.interested in, including Moulin Rouge.
Here's hoping the delay is due to loads of lovely restoration work....

The only thing I dont like about 'Saving Private Ryan', are the intentional glitches in the movies (Streaks of fire etc)

Andrew - I'm sure well have the BD "Ultimate Edition". Followed by the "Director's Cut". Followed by the "3d Ultimate Edition. Followed by the "3d Director's Cut". Followed by brain-streaming Total Recall-stylee memory implant. Etc.
