Primare cd10i vs Arcam Solo

as most of you probably know I have an arcam solo - and I am very pleased with it. However I have recently come across this new product from Primare, which effectively looks like the same deal.

Has anyone got any experience of this product ? I have seen it for sale online for a mere 150 quid more than the arcam, is it worth it ?

We tested it up against the Solo in last October's issue - the Solo came out tops.

To summarise that test, the Primare (which got four stars) sounds big and bold, but lacks the finesse of the Arcam or the Audio Analogue Enigma.

So relax, and enjoy your Arcam - spend the extra on better speakers/cabling/more CDs!

IMHO The Linn Classik wipes the floor with them both.

The Arcam i found lifeless and the Primare is somewhat bright and in your face.

I demoed both along with the Linn and bought the Linn.

I find it better than my old Rotel seperates

That's interesting rich51080, and it proves that all such evaluations of sound products are ultimately a matter of taste... However I'm just curious did you get to audition the Audio Analogue Enigma alongside the other three all-in-one systems?
