Am looking at a set of portable on ears to listen to my iPod on during my extensive sessions of air travel. I have looked at the following:

Ultrasone PRO 750 (not sure these are not a bit OTT for portable?).

Ultrasone HFI 780

Audio Technica ATH-WS55i

Never used or am even familiar with the Ultrasone's but read very good reviews. To be used with a variety of music, mainly rock but with some classical chucked in occasionally.

Any views?

Cheers

I use the Vmoda V80 for all portable listening. I have some expensive headphones for home use, so I needed a portable with very good but fairly neutral sound quality, hence the V80. I do use some treble boost with it because of soft highs, but overall it's so good I can't find anything else that's comparable. Especially finding good strong bass that isn't warm or boomy or whatever the most popular headphones are these days.

I use these. They look beautiful, are uber-comfortable and sound divine. Thats out of my Cowon J3, so can't comment on the CrApple iPod of course.
