please help with new SONY DAV-IS10.

Just got my SONY DAV-IS10 and my Sony 40" W3000 tv. I have these conneted via hdmi and it works lovely.

Problem is I cant get sound from my sky channels through the is10!! Is it even possible, i have the old sky box (no hdmi or optical output just the old pin connectors)



There are too many bits where things could go and i need help. (can you tell im a novice. lol)

Any help is appreciated

Sorry Graeme,

The only inputs into the DAV-is10 are digital (optical and coax) or the Sony DM port.

I don't know your TV, but you may be able to loop the audio from the Sky box through the TV if that has a "digital output" which you can connect to the DAV-is10. I doubt you will get a 5.1 signal this way though.

Mmm, I must have a different DAV-IS10 then because I've got my digibox connected to the Sony with a standard RCA red and white audio lead.

Just connect the audio out of the Sky digibox to the audio in jacks on the DAV-IS10 and change the input to TV and you should be OK. You may need to adjust the audio delay to sync the sound to the video.
