Pioneer VSX LX55 not outputting video to Benq Projector

Hi all

i have a problem... I have just bought a Pioneer LX55 one of the main reasons was due to its 2 HDMI outputs as I was fed up,of having to swap manually on my XB1 when wanting to watch via projector.

I have tried umpteen settings but cannot get the amp to output to it ! It works fine direct to xb1 or BDP.

am I missing something obvious???

Ok so I connected up my spare projector and it works fine so has to be compatibility between my amp and proj.

Update

setup menu displays on projector but still no video

Re-set projector to factory settings, then make sure you have the correct input selected.

Do the same for the output of the Pioneer, then set the output to projector mode with auto control on. (Also check that dual output is selected)

I had a a similar problem a year or two ago and it turned about to be due to my HDMI cable. It just wasn't up to transmitting the extra detail needed by my projector.

Bought a newer specification cable (a cheap one) and all is fine now.
