cant wait for it to arrive

Lucky you

My dad has one and I went round yesterday to check out his new pre amp

We put on 'I AM LEGEND' on upscaled dvd and the picture quality was jawdropping. You'd almost swear it was hidef its that sharp and detailed (It is connected through an Isotek Mira mains conditioner and a solid silver mains cable mind)

Id love one but im after a pre amp myself so ill make do with the Pioneer 42" I have

any advice on how to run the tv set in properly ready for sky hd and playing the ps3 on this

I'm in the midst of negotiating with my local dealer, it looks like the deal will be £2,295 with Pioneer 5 year warranty and Pioneer stand or wall mounting bracket. I've also been told by two separate dealers about the price rise on the 1st April.

You're about the nth person I've seen mention that, I hope the dealer isn't using the 5 year warranty as some kind of sweetener for the deal as all pioneer sets are going with 5 year manufacturers warranties at the moment, so you're not getting anything you aren't entitled to anyway.

and Pioneer stand or wall mounting bracket.

that's more like it. In fact that's a pretty good price with the bracket (is it the Pioneer bracket?).

Yep the Pioneer bracket. That's what they have confirmed over e-mail, I am arranging an audition for this Saturday to confirm the deal and place my order.

I took delivery of my KRP500A on Saturday. Only ordered it from my local Pioneer dealer on thursday. So far i am totally blown away with the set. I paid £2300 with 5yr warranty,Stand and underslung speaker (wife has made me pack DAV800 surround sound away-at least for now

). I will have to add new HT kit as and when, but i thought the KRP 500A is a good starting point. We have a 6.5m x 4m room and this set looks right for that size.

My advice? Buy this set if you can afford it, you will not be dissapointed
