Pioneer calibration ?

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how to calibrate a pioneer XD508 screen . Is there a dvd out there i can buy to show me the best settings ?There are so many im lost , help......

If you Google this or look on the main specialist forum, you will find that someone has already done the work for you! ÿI found it invaluable with my 4280.

I dont have your particular tv but I would suggest the easiest method is to get a hold of a THX test disc (ANY thx disc ~ star wars, terminator 2 etc) to use to set contrast, brightness and sharpness. Colour is then set as high as you can get it without anything 'flaring up' and people look natural instead of red or orange.

As for the other settings ~ on the whole switch EVERYTHING off that you can. My pioneer has tons of settings and every one is switched off. Leaving me with a handful to play with (Gamma was a nightmare to set)

If your STILL unsure after that post what settings are left and we can take from there
