Pioneer A400 - Clicking Noise!!!!! or new amp???

I have a Pioneer A400 amplifier that has recently developed what I would describe as a 'clicking noise' from the right channel. The left channel is fine. Has anybody any experience of this problem, or any idea what could be wrong??

If the cost to fix it is too much I may consider a second hand amp upto £120 to partner my NAD C542 CD player and Mission 733 speakers. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

have you tried using deoxit/switch cleaner on the switches/controls? ... easy to do (search on google) ... not sure about the clicking though, as normally its more of a scratching noise when you turn up the volume
