Picture flicker on BBC HD via Virgin Media

Hi,

I'm posting to see if anyone else is having a problem that I've noticed when watching BBC HD through Virgin Media. The picture suffers from a frequent flicker which is particularly noticeable during darker scenes with little motion. I have been watching BBC HD for a few months, but have only noticed the flicker recently. I don't notice the same problem when watching other HD and SD channels and that is why I suspect this is a BBC HD specific issue.

Not flicker as such, but I did get terrible pixellation and picture break-up while watching Hustle on BBC HD last night - other HD channels on Virgin were not similarly affected. Not sure what caused it.

Don't know - there were some issues with Virgin in the past 24h: Virgin service issues

Depends where you live...

Or could this be related to BBC's change of codecs? Are these used on Cable?

Yes, I experienced the picture break up when watching Hustle a few weeks back too. However, I am still experiencing a definite flicker when watching BBC HD (Hustle, Spooks in particular). If I wasn't only experiencing this on BBC HD I would be sure that it was a problem with my tv rather than the transmission. Anyone else having a similar problem?
