Philips BDP 7500 Blueray Player Freebie

I have just received this model after buying my Philips 42" 9664 tv, it was free

Does anyone know how it compares to my Sony BDPS760?

Info on the web seems pretty scarce. I presume its a new model. Should I risk unpacking it to test or leave it boxed to sell on?

Based on the retail price of the Philips BDP 7500 compared to the Sony and the write up the Sony gets I'd leave it sealed in the box.

yes it is cheap but as lots of spec.analogue 7.1 out and is not bad looking with the mirror finish. I've been tempted with it also.let us know how u get along with it
