I've been running this TV since just before Xmas and was very happy with it. The only problem we occasionally had was that after watching a Blu-ray it sometimes would not detect the Sky HD box on the AV input when we switched back and seemed to hang. But eventually it would change over.

But today we watched a Blu-ray and now it will not detect the Sky box on the AV. I can get sound from Sky but no picture. Checked all the connections. Blu-ray works and Freesat works. Manually changing to AV1 makes no difference.

All connections go via the receiver and everything else works as it should.

Any ideas?

First thing I would try is unplugging the HDMI from SKY+ to receiver and try it straight in to another HDMI socket on the TV, if it works ok then you know the problem lies with your receiver not the TV or SKY......

Yep you are correct "lcd4ever".

It seems when I decided to try the PQLS gizmo on the receiver it knocked the Hdmi control out of sync so that the video handshake between the Sky HD box and the Pioneer receiver was not taking place. Turned PQLS off and changed the Hdmi settings back on and it works as it should.

So lesson learnt is that you can't use PQLS and Sky together. But it will be ok with the Freesat built into the TV.

For me I prefer to have the 5.1 from Sky than the better picture from Freesat and no 5.1 Always a compromise somewhere.

Can't say I noticed any sound quality improvement with the PQLS turned on.
