I've been going to take the plunge for months and move up to a 50". I eventually ordered a G20 this week. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't really say. But I didn't like the look of the G10 at all. Not all that fussed about the slightly rounded bottom on the G20 but I think I'll learn to live with it. I did see a G10 and a G20 (both 42") in a shop next to each other. The picture on the G20 did look slightly better (HD source). Any comments I've seen all say it's a better telly, motion better and better colours. Also it has more features, some of which are a good thing (!).

I'm goona kick myself when prices come down but hey I'm looking forward to it arriving

I saw a 42V10 against a 42G20 (on a HD feed) and the G20 was slightly better (motion handling and black level ortherwise identical to my eye) so against the G10 I would guess you would see a clear difference

Personally waiting to see 3D for myself before either buying G20 or VT20 or the 3D version

Isn't the VT20 the 3D version? Do you mean the V20?

The 42" V20 is currently on Play.com for £1199.99. Very tempted but think I'll wait for the reviews (and the price to drop a little).

I'm waiting for the Panasonic 50 inch 3D TV in May. My present TV is a Panasonic 42 inch HD TV which i've had for 6 years and before that i had a standard Panasonic 28 inch widescreen TV and i've never had any problems with Panasonic at all.

Ian.
