wanting to buy a tv in a month or two and looking between these three models. they are all around £800-900 and have good reviews

which would you think is the best out of the three? bear in mind the 805a sony is 55" while others are 46 and 47"

i have read that the 905a has much better 3d and picture quality than the 805a and the panasonic has a 5 star rating review on whathifi and also excellent picture quality. i will be keeping this tv basically until it dies on me so i want a tv that i can be happy and enjoy for many years.

will only be watching blu rays/dvd's and playing games on the TV, no actual TV itself.

the 905a is active 3d, but what is it like to view active 3d? never tested it and if the 905a is suggested to me will have demo it instore at richer sounds.

you think these tvs will drop anymore in a couple months when the last of the 2013 models will be dropped out by stores?

This new Sony does well:

If it was me I would go bigger when you buy one. Are you definitely set on this 3 or can we add more suggestions? I can think of some others too.

You can get John Lewis to price match this and you get a free sound bar too.

The sound bar must be one of these:

Yep, you get this sound bar too:

http://www.johnlewis.com/sony-ht-ct60bt-2-1-bluetooth-sound-bar-with-nfc-subwoofer/p1219153

That's £690 for the TV without the sound bar!

this tv is still a bit out of my price range until it drops price. i'm open to other tv suggestions yeah but 46" minimum i'd go for. and i want to stick with the makes of sony/panasonic/LG.

sorry i didnt word it properly in my first post i mentioned all 3 tv's are around the 800 mark but that is a bit too expensive for me at the moment. i mentioned i would get one in a couple months when the 2013 models might of dropped to around £700 or around that.

so yeah my budget is £650-700 (can stretch to 750 if need be) so have to wait for prices to come down for a good tv i guess

Well I have the sony 905a and the pic quality is tremendous having had a samsung D7000 recently the sony blows it out of the water and previously I had a Pioneer Kuro and although I no longer have this T.V to compare side by side i personally think the sony is equal to the kuro if that isnt enough praise I dont know what is go into a T.V shop and view them play with the settings no matter what the score in stars its down to personal taste really :p

Yep, you could sell it. I would demo the TV still along with the others and compare them.

i'll have to keep thinking. may not get a subwoofer and use some of the sub money towards a better tv.

i'll demo the 55" sony i mentioned and see how it looks compared to the 2014 sony model and some others.

I'm not sure with the other ones to be honest and I can't find any other deals, perhaps someone else can or offer some more advice on the above 3?

Personally I'd go with a Sony, but then I've had bad experience with panasonics customer service!

also go as big as you can, it makes a huge difference, but don't sacrifice on quality of the picture.

Demo it yourself, and also make sure you view it from a similar position as to home, ie if it's off axis view it off axis.

i think the w905 was better than the w805, but I don't know if the w829 is better than last years w905?

cant you get a side by side demo in RS if your serious about god purchase they should may it round for you. I remember going into comet one year and they moved a tv for me for a side by side comparison

i have the Sony W905A - PQ is sensational, this TV is blessed with Triluminos display,.the level of colour vibrancy is the best as far as a 1080p TV goes.. The 3D is quality & i love the design & i think the W9 is great value for the money !

sounds good that tv does but i think i'd rather go bigger and if i had to i'd go for the 55" sony w805a. i'll probably have to go instore and see if i can get a side by side comparison of the two sonys and panasonic (not sure about the 2014 sony model though..) i'll only demo 3 tvs and the third has to be the new 2014 8 series or the 2013 9 series..if i dont like active 3d then i wont buy the tv

they've changed the deal instead of offering a free BDPS5200 blu ray player they are now giving BDPS6200!! worth £190!! amazing deal. i'm tempted to snatch it up right now just for the £190 saving

I've had both passive & active TVs & from my experience active is the much better viewing experience. also bigger screen size isnt always better, i would choose PQ over screen size .I bought the Sony W805A before my W9 and i returned the W8 as DSE was awful. I dont no much on the Panasonic but from my experience the W9 is a keeper. And if a bigger screen is what you really need i would look at the SONY - 50W829
