On switching the tv on and off i noticed the tv makes clicking noises, it clicks about 3 times is this normal? I have never heard other do this, just curious as to why it does this do these tvs have reed switches or is it where it is warming up and cooling down? It is a TX-26LXD8

Ours does it too.

Also during this time it occassionaly 'gives up' turning on - the power led flashes for a while, then turns red, then off. Have to press the power button off then try again. Have thought it odd but it allways switches on properly on seond attempt so haven't thought it to be a problem.

Does your px80 also click a few minutes after putting it into standby? Ours does sometimes.

I have a panasonic 50px70 and it makes clicking sounds for a couple of hours when turned on, i have even had a replacement set but still the same i thought it could be because it wall mounted.

panasonic 50px70 / panasonicbd30 / panasonic dmr-ex87 / onkyo 606 / kef iQ5se's / kef iQ2c / kef iQ1's on atacama stands / kef 1005's for back surrounds / kef 1000.2 sub.

I have a 42PX80BA, and it also clicks about three times in quick succession when the front power button is first turned on, then again a few minutes after it is turned off. I am sure that it is is entirely normal, just relays keeping the high voltages at bay.

However, I do not hear any clicking noises during use.

I've got a TX37LZD800 and that makes clicking noises too. It seems to only be when you initially press the power button on the set, basically activating the standby mode. Has anyone noticed any problems with the speakers sound quality?
