Panasonic LCD or LED?

I am looking to buy a Panasonic 37" Freesat TV, and had just about decided on the 37V10. I went to my local Panasonic shop and was told that the 10's have been discontinued and are to be replaced by the 20's which will be LCD and will be comparable with Plasma. Is the LCD worth waiting for? The 10's are heavily discounted at the moment, the G10 I have found for £699 and the V10 £800. Presumably the 20's will be back up to the £1000 mark. What do you think?

37" G10 was available at Richer Sounds at £599 a couple of weeks ago (last i checked) and G20 seems to be launched at £999.

Whether the new one is worth £400 extra only you can decide for yourself, but IMHO that's a lot of extra dough to justify...
