well thanks to what hi-fi i have ordered a new system Cambridge Audio 640A V2 stereo amp,Cambridge Audio 540C V2 CD player,cambridge audio 640t v2 tuner and some kef IQ5SE's anyone have experience of this combination! just need to find a cambridge audio IR10.

yes had a demo on the kef IQ5 SE and IQ50 but not all the cambridge audio, it's was either teac or the cambridge saw the deal on what hi-fi and that was that.

For the CA gear you've got the opposite to me - 640C V2 and 540A V2. I went for the 640C for the dual Wolfson DAC's but I can't imagine the 540C being too far behind. I've never listed to the kef's but I'd imagine as long as you get decent interconnects, stands and speaker cable and experiment with positioning you should end up with something that pleases the ear without having had to remortgage the house.
