Hi to all I have the onk808 connected to Kef3005se surrounds (7.1) My problem is, how low the volume is, compared to my previous Onk, the 875. I have to turn the receiver up to AT LEAST +60 to get a listenable sound out of it? (and even then my tv can be heard over it) I'm sure its just a simple adjustment within the settings, but after trying out many different adjustments, its making no diference at all? Also,i find the music performance from it is very poor! Its very low in volume..in fact, the receiver keeps flashing a warning about the volume at +75, yet i can talk over the music without having to shout at the top of my voice to be heard. And its also very 'tinny' and gives me a headache! It reminds me of the dark ages of the Amstrad tower thing!! heeeeeeellppppp meeeeeeee!

I believe the 875 was a little more powerfull than the 808, so that could be causing some of the problems you're having.

Have you used the auto calibrating system?

Defo check with your dealer, something sounds off, re-run the auto calibration, ensure "Dolby volume" is disengaged, if this no improvement, you need to return it. I've never heard of an onkyo described as tinny before!
