Thoughts on why you would buy a 605 over a 505? I already have an upscaling DVD player, so can't really see the need to spend £100 more for the 605. Would appreciate thoughts?

This offer finished in early September. If you ring up Sevenoaks sound and vision currently they are doing 15% off av receivers so you can get the Onkyo 605 for £340. You will have to wait some time though for delivery as they have none in stock.

Check out www.ssav.com or buy Whathifi's awards 2007 magazine for details.

They currently have loads of offers at the moment such as 20% off av speaker packages.

Well, i picked up the 605 full price at richer sounds a week or so ago. In stock and took it home. Happy to pay that price for the amp i want if it's available.

Sounds like i need to visit Sevenoaks if they have 20% off AV packages. I'm looking for a new set to compliment the Onkyo.
