Onkyo TX-NR609 - subwoofer auto switch off?

I am close to buying the Onkyo TX-NR609 and the Canton Movie 125 MX Speaker package. Reading on Amazon reviews for the Onkyo, there is a comment and I quote: 'One other minor incompatibility was the fact that it doesn't have a subwoofer trigger like HK systems do - so shame, I will have to switch it on and off by hand.'
This appears to be saying that I will have to switch the subwoofer off when not in use. Is this true and is it soemthing I have to be concerned about? Maybe the subwoofer goes into standby when not in use?

Yes, the subwoofer in the Canton system can be set to 'auto' power mode, in which it switches into standby a few minutes after it detects there's no signal, then 'wakes up' again when it detects a signal.
