Onkyo suspend hddvd support

Been on t`internet tonight and heard that Onkyo have"suspended"support for hddvd and won`t be bringing any more players to good ol`blighty.They do however have a new hd player out later this year but we don`t know if it`s hddvd,blu-ray or a dual machine.Just thought you might like to know.

Its actually are rebadged Toshiba HD-DVD player. This story about them producing very limited numbers for Europe first appeared on an Italian website.

And mentioned here the other week that no more would be coming after initial batch was sold though, IIRC.

But AFAIK no actual statement of suspension of support, just anecdotal inferrals...

Note, however, that even back last year Onkyo wasn't committing itself solidly to HD DVD, but was saying that it might well launch either BD or dual players - it was watching the market.
