Onkyo A9155 amp low on bass

Hi, I just got myself a pair of floorstanders, Tannoys Mercury V4 and Onkyo A9155 amplifier. All good except I must crank the bass pot all the way up for any reasonable bass and even then it's not really powerful. Cables are quality and connected properly in phase. I thought about replacing it with Denon PMA510AE as it's within my budget. Anybody with similar experience? Thanks.

Problem solved! Just got the Denon and here's the score on the pot settings:
Bass: 100% Onkyo = 50% Denon
Treble: 100% Onkyo = 65% Denon

I would search for a amp that doesn't need any adjustments on the bass pot at all. If you are a bass freak, I would recommend a subwoofer.
