Do speakers deteriorate with age ??

Have some 17 year old KEFs, still sound pretty good, to me. Is it worth buying new speakers ? Many thanks.

Had my 733i floorstanders for ten, possibly eleven years now and they still sound superb. Looks like the 752s I picked up will be sold on in a few weeks. Both sets are good though and well looked after.

My Linn Keilidhs are now 15 years old, and still sound great with whatever I throw at them!

Unless damaged, there is a lot of mileage in older speakers - just check out the amount of Tannoy Gold or Red's out there on Ebay.

I've got a pair of mid-80s Mission Model 70Mk2s and they still sound really clear and detailed...
