My system is almost as old as I am.

Marantz CD Player CD65 11

Marantz Digital Integrated Amp PM-75

Connected by Arcam Cable

Ruark Sabre Mk1 Speakers.

Connected by Audioquest Midnight Speaker Cable

New HP computer with two external hard drives

I have moved to a smaller house.

I want a system that can: store all of my Cd's

: Be controlled by an ipad

: Be set up by a novice

Please Help

Computer is on a home network, I assume? If so, I'd store all the music on one of your drives, use Windows Media Center to make it visible to the network, and then add an all-in-one network music player system such as the Naim UnitiLite (if you still want a CD player) or UnitiQute (if you don't), or perhaps the Award-winning Cyrus StreamLine 2.

If those are a bit rich for you, something like the Cambridge Audio StreamMagic 6 – another Award-winner – could be used with your existing amplifier.

You could keep the Ruarks if you have space for them, or if you want something smaller let let me know what you think about the above suggestions and I'll advise on choosing something suitable.
