Just to let you all know, i found out something new tonite. My TV is an old LG plasma...
LG 42PQ6000
To cut a long story short, i just figured out how easy it was to play Divx movies on it, via usb - hardrive. I started googling about the screen testing (whitewashing and orbiter tests),as ive never done them since i have had it. Also was searching for picture settings, trying to improve the picture.
So i did that, and ended up reading about the usb input, thought ill have a go. Unplugged my WD External HD from PC, stuck it in the side of the telly, all my movies available. Got around 100 Divx films on it,tried about 20 of them and they all played flawlessly, no codec/issues attal. Amazed.
Dont think i will ever have to burn a dvd disc again, to play in the old dvd player! happy days.
Also on another note picked up some new HDMI cables today aswell, very impressed with them too, from TK Max, only £6.99 each (1.8m). Same as these but older model / slightly different box but will be same cable..
T-Rex 3D HDMI Cable Platinum Series.
