Old amps are capable of 3D?

Hey there you go scene.

From what I heard the pioneer sc series 72 and 82 will allow 3d passthrough.

Does anyone know if this is audio too and also available for other amps.

You have to force them, as in set the Bluray player's 3D output to ON.

I'm not sure whether this would take audio as well as that would need a 1.4 cable - a 1.3 cable can pass HD picture and audio, but only 3D picture with no sound (as it has to deal with a dual 1080p signal).

Actually, I've just done some digging on this... And apparently, as 1.3 can't handle the 2x1080p signals required for full 3D HD (or is that HD 3D?), 2x1080i are sent. This would make sense, and would leave space for an HD sound as well (maybe).

Can anyone get Pioneer to comment?

So if it will deff do video, then how would the audio be affected?

Would it only do dolby instead on MasterHD ect?
