I have been looking at the Pan 26"LXD but I have not been that impressed with quality of picture in stores. They always seem jerky and I can still see blurring on motion. Are there any setting that i should be trying while instore?

Failing that its back to the CRT, so any suggestions on models? Around 26 inches would be ideal.

Thanks.

As discussed before around these parts, the quality of signal fed into shop-display TVs is often very poor, so it's hard to judge their performance from in-store displays.

When properly set up in our test rooms, we detected no unwanted smearing on the Pana TX-26LXD70, and praised it for its fabulous colours, great contrast and definition. That's why it's our Best Buy 26in TV.

As for CRT, very few companies still make them, but it might be worth looking on ebay for a secondhand Panasonic or Sony.
