Folks,

Any advice or opinions gratefully received, I am refurbishing our lounge, approximately 7m x 4m. The layout means I will be able to put the television in the centre of one of the short walls with the primary viewing position about 1.5m from the other short wall, in other words just about perfect.

I have a DG820 7.1 Receiver, which I'm unlikely to replace.

The 'Design Authority' has declared no wires are to be visible and no speakers on brackets are allowed, that is the basis of the challenge. In wall speaker for the centre is also banned, I'm not sure if I can or should use the TV speakers for the centre, the TV is likely to be a Samsung UE47D8000

My thoughts and research have led to the following conclusion, I'm considering a full in ceiling set up for all five/seven speaker, I believe I need steerable tweeters particularly on the centre.

Under consideration at the budget end would be 5x Speakercraft WH Series, mid range Speakercraft AIM5 One, top end Polk Audio VS620RT

I'm really interested to hear feedback from anyone who's got experience of any of these in terms of performance, quality ease of use and set up.

I'd also be grateful of any other ways of solving this challenge.

Many thanks

I would get a new "design authority"

Look at Monitor Audio Raduis HD 180 & 225 for the centre, they don't use brackets and fit flush to the wall, a friend of mine had the same request from his other half an she is really pleased with the reslusts. Failing that look at the MA range of in ceiling speakers or the Polk Audio LC/LS series, I had some of those and they where excellent.
