No sound on the left channel

Hello,

I just had a new cartrige (Ortofon RED) installed on my Pro-Ject 20th anniversary turntable. But there is a problem..the sound from the left channle is in and out, sporadically. I have checked the connection to the tonearm cables and they are OK. The only thing that makes the sound come back is tapping on the headcover. The right channel is not affected

I have already called the dealer and he will loook at it next week, but I want to know if any of you experienced the same problem.

I have had this when replacing the stylus on a cartridge, even though it appeared to go in perfectly the first time removing it and putting it back on again fixed it. I wonder if it could be that simple?
