No Punctuation on my posts?

Can anyone tell me why, when I do a post correctly punctuated and with seperate paragraphs, I end up with 1 great big long, un-punctuated post, and I just did a one finger typist post that took me 2 hours to do, I then previewed it, went back a page to try and punctuate it and lost the whole lot!
