looking at purchasing either the Panasonic TX-65FZ802B or the LG 65C8PLA TV but not sure which 1 to go for.

the Panasonic doesn’t do DV only HDR and HDR10+ and the LG will have DV and HDR, but no HDR10+

the LG has an excellent review on AV but can’t find 1 of the panny and both are a risk in terms which hdr format will go mainstream.... any thoughts?

The LG is way better based on previous Panasonic Oled TVs and Panasonic TVs in general. WHF have given it 5 stars and AVF 10 out of 10. And 10 for black level that hasn’t happened for years for Oled TVs. You can get this for £3000 now too. When it comes to Oled LG are in a league of their own.

John Lewis have just started selling the Panasonic Oled so worth demoing sometime and the reviews will be shortly.

I wouldn’t worry about any format war. One will always do HDR which is the best anyway. And most services have taken up Dolby Vision.

Yep, you can get it at JL too:

Just claim the £500 back of the £3500 price. You might want to wait a bit though and get it cheaper.

WOW, Oled really coming down in price thats good to see. The C8 just came out not even 4 weeks or there about. At these prices I may start looking at Oled. Honestly thought there were over priced before now. By this time next year another grand could come off that, that would be very tempting. *dirol*
