New tv advice

I currently have a philips 47PFL9664 but want to upgrade. TV will be used for watching a lot of blu rays, playing PS3 and also sky HD.

Ideally i would love the new 55 inch sony W905 but think tv is too big for my small lounge.

Therefore I think i may have to go for 50 inch - which in peoples opinions are the best 50 inch tvs in the market ? was thinking about the new panasonic 50 inch DT65 - would appreciate anyones feedback (not seen what hifi review of thid tv)

Hi chrisku,

the dt65 (according to panasonics website) doesn't come in 50", but is 47" ans 55" inch round that size. They have an et in that size. Is that what you mean?

I have just purchased a DT65 and I love it, I am not an expert user but I think this TV is much better than my previous 7 year old plasma (Hitachi).

The 50 inch model is exclusive to Curries / PCW and you don't get the 5 year warranty. Like you I was upgrading from a 42" and wanted a 50" but in the end I went for the 55" as it just fits into the space I have (take measurements and check!). I got mine from John Lewis with 5 year warranty and a free (£160) soundbar.

i think if its a curtsy/pcw special edition a review will be hard to find. Look at the 47 and 55" reviews. They should all be very similar in overall rating
