I've just got a Pioneer blu ray and av (1019) and want to connect my tv (panny txl37V10) V+ box and x box...with some kefs

Grateful for feedback as to how best to connect (through amp or straight to tv)

Id like flexibility of watching tv (through V+) without amp on.....can I hdmi through amp on standby (V+ hdmi to amp, hdmi to tv) or do I hdmi to tv and optic to the amp.

Any suggestions please on how best to connect all of these, x360 bluray, V+.....and allow kids to use tv without necessarily the amp. I am setting it all up tomorrow

Thanks

Gavin

PS Couldnt resist the Pioneer offer with the free ipod

From what I understand of the 1019, it is possible to pass through video and audio to the TV if "through" is activated. However, it seems that the receiver needs to be switched on with the volume turned down, rather than being left in standby mode.

Perhaps a 1019 owner can confirm this? Of course, you may prefer the simplicity of running the V+ to the TV via HDMI and optical to amp.
