New Speakers

I have just bought some new speakers & a new amp,

and when I play some songs with good bass in them the speakers kind of wobble and hit the protector thing and the bass doesn't feel right. It works normally with any other songs.

Is this normal? If not how can I fix this?

For speakers with 5" bass drivers playing music with bass kick - such as All Saints - at generous volumes it is entirely normal to see the cones thrashing in and out at an alarming rate and even hitting their stops. Even at moderate volumes twin 5" bass drivers in a ported cabinet will be giving you a lot of distortion in the bass region.

The solution is easy, but you may not like it for WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) reasons. Get well engineered speakers with 12" or bigger bass cones - preferably in a large sealed cabinet.
