New Sony Bravia slight fogging!

I finally got around to buying my first LCD TV, After some research I settled on the Sony Bravia kdl37ex503...

The TV arrived about a week ago and have been very happy....but......

Have a few niggles that are Bugging me.....Please Help!!

When watching the TV it seems to be brighter around the side edges of the screen prominent in certain blacks almost like a slight fogging effect! I have tried altering my viewing angle but I can still notice them,

Its not a huge deal as its only on certain blacks but as I have never owned an LCD TV before am not sure if this is normal!

It could be backlight bleed, sony are well known for this problem.

Yes, think shop window and being able to see screen in sunlight!

Try turning it down and turn off any automatic backlight systems. Then use calibration disc to set contrast/ brightness. My brother in law turned his off on his 40W4500 with no detrimental viewing effects in general 'living room' conditions. Have mine turned off on my Philips too.
