The OP said PLA, not PUA. The prism array is made from photocurable polyurethane acrylate (PUA).

I have spoken to my technician about this query.

Rod,the PLA relates to the region and variation of that particular series it doesn't stand for anything particular. That part of the model number you wouldn't need to worry about.
