Have just been fortunate to find out that I am due quite a healthy rebate from the tax office and have been given the ok by the girl friend to buy a new hifi. Now I was thinking about a Marantz Pm6003, but I am confused what would be the best speakers. Will roughly have around £600-700 for the whole job including speaker cable and possibly stands or brackets. Now what would be the best speakers to match this amp or alternatively would there be another better alternative around the same price.

By the way it will only be for Amp and speakers as most of the music I have is MP3 all my CDS are in storage back home in Ireland. So will be buying an ipod dock or using a 2 to 1 audio cable to attach ipod and computer.
would the monitor bronze br2s, wharfdale diamond 10.1 or B and w 685's be good matches and if so which would be the best. Not allowed dali's cos the gf doesn't like the look
