I currently have a panasonic BD30 and was thinking of upgrading it for the new BD60 or BD80, but being my tv is not full hd would i see that much difference on sd and blu-ray.

panasonic 50px70 / panasonic bd30 / panasonic dmr-ex87 / onkyo 606 / kef iQ5se's / kef iQ2c / kef iQ1's on atacama stands / kef 1005's for back surrounds / kef 1000.2 sub.

I had a BD30 and thought about the same upgrade, I had an audition of the BD60 & BD80, and could see no significant picture or sound upgrade.

I finally pushed the boat out and went for the Denon DVD 2500BT, which was definately a huge upgrade and worth while if you could run to one. So I think if it is just for picture & sound I would say do not bother, but if you want profile 2.0 and it's vieracast capabilites then it may be worth it.

The pioneer BDP51 may be worth a look and give a small increase in picture/sound quality.

BD 80 (akin to BD55) should give you better sound, but not better picture. I did upgrade to BD 55 a few months ago and there is definite improvement in sound while listening through my Onkyo PRCSC 886 AV processor.
