New AV Stand

Redecorating and would like to change my current Alphason black/silver stand for a wooden one (oak).

I like the look of the Hi Fi Racks Podium XL, but am a bit squeamish about the price.

Are there any similar alternatives I could consider.

As long as you don't mind missing out on spiked isolation, I would consider custom racks from the likes of chunky monkey or stump furniture. I used the latter as can be seen in my av setup linked in my signature. Good value, unique looks and best fit for your kit.

Thanks Ben. Two brilliant suggestions.

I do favour the open designs. As I'll be doing away with my Centre and going 4.0 that's not ever so important, but I suppose it pays to plan for contingencies if I go back to 5.1.
