New Arcam BluRay on the way?

Good morning.

I noticed there is an Arcam promotion on the BDP300. Does this indicate a new BluRay player is on its way?

Seriously doubt it. How many of these extremely expensive devices could they be selling anyway? Cyrus, Linn and Naim have all stopped making video players (all three once did), what makes Arcam think they're so special? They should give it up in all honesty. What will make you choose this over a Marantz UD7007 which will have superior picture quality and equally good audio?

After the debacle that was the BDP100, I have steered well clear, releasing another player to compensate for the faults of the previous and then charging a premium just isnt good business if you ask me.

No plans to change it as far as im aware, just a promo before Christmas. I have to say in support of Arcam of the ones we have sold have been faultless thus far.
