has anyone tried to use the 10 pound off token printed on the richer sounds advert in the latest mag?

i was looking for a 32" tv for my sitting room and came across a sony kdl32v4000 for £369 at richer sounds on the net.

i phoned the prestwich branch to check price and stock, they quoted me the same price as was on the net even though i had not mentioned it. i asked them to put one aside and i would go and pick it up that day.

it was then i noticed the token in what hifi mag and thought i would use it.when i got to richer sounds they said they could not accept the token as it said it could not be used in conjunction with any other offer, and this price was an internet offer and not an in store price.when i got home i checked the net and it said this item was only available in store.

its not the money im bothered about its the principle, how can it be an internet offer when you cannot buy it on the net and why was i quoted the same price when i phoned the shop.

Well if the TV was reduced to that price then that was the offer that the coupon couldn't be used in conjucton with.

I agree it's a bit of a con mate, a coupon's a coupon and you should be able to use it on whatever you want.
