I've got 60 pounds to spend on a pair of in ear headphones. I want something durable with all around good quality sound. I will be able to stretch my budget up to a 100 pounds if really worth it in terms improved quality.

Would really appreciate some recomendations.

I am very happy with my Shure SE215. If you can live with the lack of top end sparkle, they are very good, and their build quality is absolutely miles ahead of anything else I have used. I think what hifi's review was spot on. They are about £75.

I also thought the apple dual driver in-ears were okay for around £50, but I have seen mixed reviews of them. They used balanced armature drivers which gives a different kind of sound, which can be a little bass light. Their fit really worked well for me too.

Are you anywhere near a PC World/Currys store, or an Apple store or an HMV? They all have great listening stations to try cans in that budget.
